Through its Food Is Medicine initiative, the Food Bank partners with Zufall Health to identify and support individuals experiencing food insecurity and chronic disease. Participants receive medically tailored food packages, nutrition education, individualized coaching, vitamins and nutritional supplements, and ongoing clinical monitoring. The program includes three blood screenings throughout the year to track health indicators and evaluate outcomes. By combining food access with healthcare integration and behavior-change support, the program helps participants improve nutrition, manage chronic conditions, and build healthier lifestyles.
